Bone diseases such as osteoporosis are very common and can be very disabling. Current and most therapies under development aim to prevent further bone degradation. Our technology platform OsteoBLAST enables us to develop new therapies, which in actual fact will restore bone, bone structure and therefore bone strength.
Therosteon is developing a balanced pipeline of innovative osteo-anabolic products. The Company's lead program is natural occurring protein, which will be developed for niche indications such as cancer-induced-osteoporosis or multiple myeloma. Animal proof-of-concept studies look very promising and Therosteon expects to enter the clinic with this program in 2012.
Therosteon's business strategy is geared toward value creation based on innovative and differentiating R&D in the field of bone diseases. Therosteon aims at developing products up-to Phase IIa, depending on the program and the clinical indication.
