Zealand Pharma is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company dedicated to the discovery and development of innovative peptide-based products that target indications of significant unmet clinical need and commercial potential.

Since 1999, Zealand’s scientists have built a pipeline of proprietary programs where seven entered development. Our current development portfolio consists of two Phase II programs, three phase I programs and three late stage discovery programs. The company is commercially validated through its agreements with Sanofi-Aventis (ZP10) and Wyeth (ZP1609).

In addition Zealand has a number of early stage drug discovery programs in the disease areas: Obesity, Diabetes, Dyslipedemia, Cardiac Arrhythmias, Acute Renal Failure and Osteoporosis.

Mogens Vang Rasmussen, Interim Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Vang Rasmussen obtained an MSc in Economics from the University of Copenhagen and furthered his career with executive seminars from INSEAD and Stanford Business School. Mr. Vang Rasmussen has extensive experience from Novo Nordisk A/S where he served as corporate controller and manager of investor relations at their headquarters in Denmark and later with Novo Nordisk in New York holding responsibility for their North American financial reporting and investor relations activities. Before joining Zealand Pharma in 2003, Mr. Vang Rasmussen served as Chief Financial Officer and later as Chief Executive Officer at MediCult a/s.
