Tom van Aken, CEO

Tom holds a Master's Degree in Chemistry from Utrecht University. Before joining Avantium Tom held numerous commercial positions at DSM. He worked in DSM's fine chemical and pharmaceutical product divisions in the US and the Netherlands. In 2002, he joined Avantium as Vice President of Business Development. He was appointed as CEO of Avantium in 2005.
