Pepscan (NL)
Therapeutic antibody therapy is well established. Monoclonals are produced outside the body and administered by infusion (passive immunisation). A next step is to teach the body to produce the antibodies itself by active immunisation. A major stumbling block for both passive and active immunisation is often the inability to generate potential antibodies, especially when the target antigen is complex in nature (GPCRs or ion-channels) or blocked by patents.
Pepscan's proven technologies provide an elegant and effective way to arrive at superior immunogens for monocolonals and therapeutic vaccines.
Pepscan focusses on cancer immunotherputics. Its strong pipeline consists of both therapeutic vaccines and monocolonals. The most advanced product is in Phase II clinical testing. Speaker Profile
