reMYND (BE)
reMYND, spun-off in 2002 from Leuven University (Belgium), is a biology-driven discoverer & developer of disease-modifying treatments against protein-misfolding disorders such as Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) and Parkinson’s Disease (PD). reMYND has a pre-clinical pipeline of 8 AD and 2 PD compound families. Our lead PD compound, planned to enter the clinic by early 2009, has confirmed full inhibition of neuro-degeneration in-vivo. In addition, two AD compound families have demonstrated first efficacy indications in-vivo. We are geared to prepare one candidate for Phase I every year, and start diversifying outside the CNS area.
reMYND also perform Contract Research in proprietary AD mouse models.

Koen De Witte, Managing Director
Koen De Witte holds a M.Sc. Degree from the University of Ghent (Belgium, 1991), a M.Sc. Degree from MIT, Cambridge (US, 1993), and an MBA from Insead, Fontainebleau (France, 1998), each time with a main focus on innovation and new product introduction.
Since 2007, Koen is managing director of reMYND, and advisor to other start-ups. Previously, Koen was an Associate Partner at McKinsey&Company, where he was part of the European and Global Leadership of the Pharma and Healthcare practices, again with a focus on innovation.
